1986 Monoprint Series

In 1986 after many months of travel in Europe and West Africa and several weeks in New York City, Julia returned to Cincinnati to visit family. She immediately secured access to the facilities of Tiger Lily Press and began by creating a striking series of monoprints inspired and informed by her recent experiences. Seen here are several examples of the prints from that series and some of their various permutations.
